Sunday and Wednesday Facility Use Policy

Wednesday Policy

No school or non-school sponsored events, activities or practices will be held after 6:00 p.m. unless permission has been granted by the school administration with notification to the school board.

This policy will be in effect from the first day of school through May 1.

Events that will be approved:

School vocal/band concerts (5) (this moves these activities off of Sunday afternoon/evening) and NHS induction (normally held in conjunction with a Wednesday evening Lenten season Liturgy). Others as approved by the administration.

Events that will NOT be approved:

School Board Meetings; PTO Meetings; Booster Club Meetings and any other meetings involving school employees, parents or students.

School Board meetings be held the second Tuesday of each month from August through June beginning in August 2014.

Other meetings related to board committees will be held the third Thursday of each month at either 5:30 or 6:30 p.m.  This will provide a specific time and date for all meetings to be held each month. This will allow for information from meetings to be sent to the board secretary for inclusion in the board packets.

The Finance Committee and Endowment Committee will continue to meet at 6:30 a.m. as scheduled.

Sunday Policy

No school or non-school sponsored events, activities or practices will be held before 11:00 a.m. each Sunday throughout the entire year.

High School teams may practice during a window of time to be determined by the administration and approved by the school board.

Other groups and outside of season teams may utilize the facilities at times that are NOT designated for use by in-season teams.

No school sponsored athletic events, concerts or other activity may be held on Sunday unless approved by the administration and with notification to the school board.

The Sunday and Wednesday Policies stated above were adopted following two opportunities for the public to provide input and much board discussion.  The review and change in the policy reflects information gathered during the Strategic Planning process.
