For students who are new to Bosco Catholic School System, we will contact parents to fill out the detailed registration form (at the bottom of this page) when we know we have space for your child. 

Bosco Catholic School System's St. Joseph Preschool offers a learning environment that helps children grow socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Our program is centered in the teachings and example of Christ and the traditions of Catholic faith. We encourage our students to explore and discover their surroundings, they learn how to play with others, problem solve, and use their imagination.

A focus on diverse learning styles leads our day. Our curriculum focuses on learning through play. With a variety of activities we grow and shape young minds. After-school care is available for full-day students.

BCSS preschool strives to form bonds towards a familial relationship within the classroom. We love and care for your children as if they were our own. Leading by the example set by Christ and a focus on the Golden rule, we nurture the development of empathy, love, caring, and concern for their peers.

Does your child need care after the school day ends? 

*Our ABC After School Care Program is available to 3 and 4 year olds with those attending full-day programs receiving priority. Rates are affordable and spots are limited, so reserve your space today by submitting the $45 registration fee and ABC application (below). ABC is licensed through the State of Iowa Department of HHS. The ABC program is housed at Immaculate Conception School in Gilbertville. Students are transported from St. Joseph to Immaculate Conception via a BCSS bus. Grades K-5 may also use ABC, so busy families enjoy one pick-up location (by 6 PM). Rates for 2023-2024 are $4/hour for one student, $6/hour for two, and $9 for three. Snacks are included.

2. Birth Certificate
3. Immunization Record
4. Child Health Form (pages 1-2, filled out by parent each year)
5. Child Health Exam Form (page 3 of the above document filled out by physician or use doctor's own form each year)
6. Child Enrollment Form
7. Potty Training Policy Form

1. ABC After School Care Application (one per family)
2. $65 family application fee (nonrefundable)

4. Health Form (we'll use the one the school receives)
