Dear Members of the Bosco Community,
Yesterday, Christian Warneke, our representative from the Steier Group, presented his final report to the School Board. You will find a summary of his report attached and on the school’s website.
You’ll see that, so far, the Everyday: Sustaining the Bosco System Legacy Capital Campaign has secured just under $1.25 million in pledges. We could not be more excited by this total and your generosity. The generosity of you and others in the Bosco community will allow us to strengthen endowments, offer tuition assistance, upgrade technology, and allow for improvements and repairs to facilities at both IC/SJ and Don Bosco Catholic High School.
Following the planning study last fall, the Steier Group projected we could raise between $1.0-$1.4 million. School and campaign leadership decided to challenge ourselves and set our goals at $2.0 million. Though the Steier Group will no longer be in the Bosco community on a weekly basis, this campaign continues. School and volunteer leaders have been meeting regularly. We will continue to meet so a strong transition plan is in place. This will maximize our efforts and bring us to our $2.0 million goal. We’ll share those plans with you as they continue to develop.
Our most sincere thanks go to all of those who have volunteered their time to serve as leaders throughout this process. The Bosco Catholic School System is lucky to have people like you. Thank you, also, those of you who have so generously supported campaign efforts financially.
As we mentioned, this campaign is far from over. If you have not yet made your pledge to this campaign, feel free to reach out to Ms. Mayer or Mr. Blackwell, who will be able to assist you with that process. Ms. Mayer and Mr. Blackwell can also connect you with a campaign volunteer if you’d prefer. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.
